The heart of the concrete mixing plant is the mixer. There are many types of mixers, such as drum type, disc type, planetary type, single-shaft type and double-shaft type. Twin-shaft mixers can ensure uniform concrete mixing by using high-horsepower motors, while drum mixers provide a relatively large amount of concrete mixing. In North America, the dominant type is the drum mixer, while in Europe and other parts of the world, twin-shaft concrete mixers are more common. Pan or planetary mixers are more common in mixing stations.
Aggregate silos have 2 to 6 compartments and are used to store sand and aggregates (rocks, gravel, etc.) compartments. Conveyors, typically between 24-48 inches in width, carry aggregate from the floor hopper to the aggregate bin, and from the aggregate batcher to the charging chute.
Twin-shaft concrete mixers, which are common in concrete mixing plants, and aggregate batchers, also known as aggregate bins, are used to store and batch sand, gravel, and crushed stone for concrete plants. There are also many types of aggregate batching bins, but most of them measure aggregate by weighing. Some use weighing hoppers, and some use weighing belts. Cement silo is an indispensable equipment in concrete production. Mainly store bulk cement, fly ash, mineral powder, etc. Cement silos are divided into three types: bolted cement silos, horizontal cement silos and integrated cement silos. The integrated cement silo is produced by the factory and can be used directly. The bolted cement silo is fixed by bolts for easy installation and removal. The horizontal cement silo has low requirements on the foundation and can be transported by truck or flatbed without dismantling.

The screw conveyor is a machine that transports materials from the cement silo to the powder weighing hopper.

The concrete mixing plant uses a control system to control the work of the machine. Concrete batching plants employ computer-aided controls to aid in the quick and accurate measurement of input components or ingredients. Because concrete performance is so dependent on accurate water measurement, systems typically use digital scales to measure cementitious material and aggregate, and a moisture probe to measure the moisture content of the aggregate as it enters the aggregate batcher to automatically compensate for mix design water /cement ratio target. Many producers have found that moisture probes only work well in sand and do not work well with larger sized aggregates.
Features and advantages of concrete mixing plant
1. Compact structure and reliable performance.
2. Computer control, easy to operate.
3. Compulsory mixer, high working efficiency.
4. Operation in a closed space, the equipment is environmentally friendly.
5. Belt type and hopper are optional.
